Aravind, with its mission to eliminate needless blindness, is the largest eye care provider in the world providing high quality and affordable care. 

Aravind operates a growing network of eye care facilities, a postgraduate institute, a management training and consulting institute, an ophthalmic manufacturing unit, a research institute and eye banks. Aravind’s eye care facilities include 14 eye hospitals, 7 outpatient eye examination centres and 114 primary eye care facilities in South India. 

Involvement
Our team has a long-standing and close collaboration with the Aravind Eye Care System, focusing on the molecular characterisation of microbial keratitis and the improvement of health system and patient care pathways. Together, we aim to deepen fundamental understanding of corneal infections and to enable the rapid and effective translation of public health interventions and diagnostic innovations within the Indian context.
